Standing firmly on the foundation of discoveries achieved by the scientists before them, the faculty and staff of the University of Colorado Cancer Center look toward a future when cancer is no longer a deadly disease.scientists

The University of Colorado Cancer Center is the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center serving the eight-state Rocky Mountain region and one of just 40 in the United States. CU Cancer Center’s scientists and cancer clinicians work at three universities—Colorado State University, University of Colorado at Boulder and University of Colorado Denver—and five institutions—University of Colorado Hospital, The Children’s Hospital, Denver VA, Denver Health and National Jewish Health.

AMC Cancer Fund supports all areas of cancer research, with prevention and control being the stable center in the complex web of over 100 forms of cancer, more then 50% of which could be avoided through lifestyle changes.

Basic, or laboratory-based, research supported by AMC Cancer Fund at CU Cancer Center is led by a strong group of senior investigators with international reputations and extensive federal grant support. Our scientists strive to better understand the fundamental cell activity that leads to cancer.
